Variety characteristics:

• W1416 Xianghong is a mid- to late-season F1 purple choy sum selected for its thick, upright flowering stalks and attractive dark red-purple coloring. The tender stems have little visible waxy bloom and offer a mild, subtly sweet flavor when harvested at the young bud stage. Plants are suited to cool-season production and may be grown for fall or mild-winter harvests where local conditions permit. The substantial stems and distinctive coloring make this variety an appealing choice for home gardens, specialty vegetable plots, and fresh culinary use.
