Variety characteristics:

• W1414 Lu Feicui is a green-fleshed netted muskmelon producing round to high-round fruits with a gray-green rind, dense corky netting and dark-green longitudinal stripes. Individual melons typically weigh approximately 4.4–6.6 lb (2–3 kg). The thick yellow-green flesh develops a soft, juicy texture with a pleasantly sweet flavor when harvested fully mature. Under suitable warm growing conditions, fruits may reach maturity approximately 45 days after flowering. Trial information reports center soluble-solids readings near 18° Brix; actual sweetness varies with sunlight, temperature, irrigation, maturity and crop management.
