Variety characteristics:

• W1413 Japanese Komatsuna is a fast-growing Asian leafy green producing upright clusters of smooth, elongated oval leaves with a glossy deep-green color. The slender, slightly flattened green petioles remain tender when harvested young. Under suitable conditions, plants may reach approximately 10 inches (25 cm) tall and be ready for harvest about 25–35 days after sowing. The leaves and stems offer a tender texture and mild brassica flavor suited to stir-fries, soups, steaming, blanching and fresh baby-leaf preparations.
