Variety characteristics:

• W1408 Youqing Tianmai is a distinctive Chinese leaf lettuce variety producing large, pointed leaves with a glossy deep-green surface. The pale green to creamy-white petioles and prominent midribs contrast with the dark foliage, while the leaf margins may develop a gently wavy appearance. Under suitable conditions, the first harvest may begin approximately 40 days after transplanting. Plants can be harvested by removing mature outer leaves or by cutting above the growing crown for possible regrowth. The tender leaves and crisp stems offer a mild, subtly sweet flavor suited to stir-fries, soups and other cooked dishes.
