Variety characteristics:

• W1407 Halloween Netted Winter Squash is a distinctive vining variety producing large, elongated oval fruits with a pale tan to muted pink rind. As the fruits mature, the surface develops pronounced corky netting that creates an unusual textured appearance. Individual fruits typically weigh approximately 6.6–8.8 lb (3–4 kg), depending on pollination, spacing and growing conditions. Mature fruits may be used for seasonal displays, nontraditional carving and cooked squash preparations. Their elongated shape and heavily textured rind offer a different appearance from conventional round orange carving pumpkins.
