Variety characteristics:

• W1405 Chaodijiao No. 1 F1 is a mid-early hot pepper hybrid producing clusters of slender, downward-hanging fruits. Plants typically reach approximately 28 inches (70 cm) tall and spread about 16 inches (40 cm). The smooth, tapered peppers measure approximately 4 inches (10 cm) long and 0.43 inch (1.1 cm) across the shoulder, with a fresh weight of about 0.14–0.21 oz (4–6 g). Fruits mature from deep green to glossy deep red and develop a pronounced hot flavor with an aromatic chili character. The thin-walled ripe peppers are suited to fresh cooking, drying, sauces, chili oil and ground pepper preparations.
