Variety characteristics:

• W1402 Huangjiao is a midseason climbing bean variety producing thick, flattened pods that transition from green to creamy yellow as they develop. Some mature pods may show a light reddish blush and glossy surface. Tender pods typically measure approximately 5.9 inches (15 cm) long and 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) wide. When harvested before the seeds become prominent, the fleshy pod walls develop a tender, smooth texture with relatively little noticeable fiber. Vigorous vines require a sturdy trellis and are suitable for stir-fries, braised dishes, stews and other fully cooked preparations.
