Variety characteristics:

• W1400 Aibai No. 1 is a compact dwarf bok choy variety producing rounded yellow-green leaves and broad, spoon-shaped petioles with a creamy-white color. Mature plants typically reach approximately 8.7 inches (22 cm) tall and spread about 10.6 inches (27 cm). The fleshy stems and leaves have relatively little coarse fiber and develop a tender texture when cooked. This variety is well suited to stir-fries, soups, steaming, blanching and other cooked preparations. Seeds may be direct-sown or started in trays for later transplanting.
