Variety characteristics:

• W1385 Cai Tao is an early indeterminate cocktail tomato producing attractive red to coral-red fruits decorated with irregular golden-yellow and orange stripes. The tomatoes vary naturally from rounded to gently peach-shaped, and many develop a charming pointed tip. Fruits typically weigh approximately 0.7–1.8 oz. Their thin skin surrounds juicy, softly textured flesh with a refreshing balance of sweetness and acidity. The colorful striping varies from fruit to fruit, giving each harvest a distinctive appearance.
Vigorous indeterminate vines continue flowering and setting fruit throughout the growing season. Train plants to a single main stem and provide tall stakes, strings or trellising. Remove competing suckers regularly and tie the growing stem loosely as it develops. Indeterminate tomatoes require substantial support and commonly outgrow short cages. Excellent for fresh snacking, salads, bruschetta, sandwiches, lunch boxes and colorful tomato platters. Harvest after the green undertones have faded and the fruit has developed a rich red base with clearly visible gold-orange striping.
