• W1361 Extra-Hot Chinese Pickling Pepper is a vigorous chili selection producing individual, upward-facing pods with strong heat and a pronounced pepper aroma. Slender, gently wrinkled fruits grow approximately 3.1 inches long and 0.7 inch wide. Immature peppers are pale yellow to creamy white, gradually ripening to a vivid red at full maturity. Productive plants continue setting fruit over an extended harvest period under favorable growing conditions. Harvest the light-colored young pods for traditional pickling and fermented pepper preparations, or allow them to ripen red for sauces, chili pastes, stir-fries, and other cooked dishes.
