- U2677 Israeli Pink-Stem Celery is a distinctive specialty celery featuring green foliage and colorful rose-pink to pink-white stalks. New inner growth may develop a deeper pink tone, creating an attractive contrast with the mature green leaves. Plants have moderate vigor and typically reach approximately 24–28 inches tall with a spread of about 12–16 inches. The open plants produce numerous slender leaf stalks rather than the broad, tightly packed stems commonly associated with standard grocery-store celery.
- The aromatic stalks and leaves can be used in stir-fries, soups, braised dishes, sauces, stocks, and other cooked preparations. Stalk color, intensity, plant size, and texture may vary with temperature, sunlight, maturity, spacing, and cultivation conditions. Celery performs best in fertile, moisture-retentive soil with good drainage. Maintain consistent moisture throughout active growth and use mulch where appropriate to reduce rapid soil drying.
