- U2673 Hong Zhenzhu Red Pearl is an indeterminate cherry tomato producing smooth, round red fruits on long, orderly trusses. Individual tomatoes average approximately 0.5 oz and develop a glossy, evenly colored finish at maturity. Plants have moderate vigor with relatively short internodes and compact foliage. Simple flower trusses may carry approximately 25 fruits under suitable growing conditions, with the tomatoes arranged in an attractive herringbone-style pattern along the stem.
- Fully mature fruits offer a juicy texture and a balanced tomato flavor with noticeable sweetness. Flavor intensity, sweetness, cluster size, fruit count, and maturity may vary with sunlight, temperature, irrigation, plant nutrition, and cultivation practices. The vines continue forming clusters throughout the growing season and require staking, caging, or trellising. Well-developed trusses may be harvested as complete clusters or picked one fruit at a time. The bright red cherries are suited to fresh snacking, salads, lunch boxes, garnishes, roasting, and colorful tomato displays.
