- As a first-generation hybrid rootstock, this variety offers strong resistance and demonstrates high compatibility and disease resistance when grafted with eggplants, leading to a superior graft survival rate. It is a vigorous grower with a robust root system, well-suited for year-round production and ideal as a rootstock for both greenhouse and open-field eggplants. Cleft or approach grafting should be performed when the rootstock has developed 5-6 true leaves and the scion has 4-5. For best results, sow the rootstock seeds about 25 days earlier than the scion.
