- Silver Dollar Plant (Lunaria annua) is a perennial herb belonging to the genus Lunaria in the Brassicaceae family. It grows to a height of 60–90 cm, with elliptical leaves featuring serrated margins and surfaces densely covered in fine hairs. It bears purple or white cruciform (four-petalled) flowers. Its siliques turn from green to brown as they mature, eventually shedding to expose silvery translucent partitions that look like round fans or silver coins. It is easy to grow as an ornamental plant and is also prized for making dried flowers.
