- Lycoris × rosed (common name: Rose Lycoris) is a perennial herb of the genus Lycoris in the Amaryllidaceae family. It bears umbels with rose-red blooms. This species thrives in sunny, humid locations yet tolerates partial shade and drought, and is slightly cold-hardy. Boasting strong adaptability and striking rose blooms, it works well for planting in flower beds, mixed borders and lawns. It can also be grown as ground cover under open woodland, or harvested for cut flowers.
Note: All parts of this Lycoris species are toxic. It contains neurotoxic alkaloids and must not be ingested.
