Variety Characteristics:
- Firethorn is an evergreen plant that blooms in spring and bears ornamental fruits in winter. Its leaves are oblong-elliptic with rounded obtuse serrations on the margins; flowers are white and borne in compound corymbs. The fruits grow densely, mostly oblate-spherical with a diameter of approximately 5 mm. They turn orange-red or dark red upon ripening, featuring smooth peel and a black five-pointed star-shaped structure at the base of each fruit.
