🌱 Unlike traditional tubers, Andean potatoes are preferred for cultivation from seeds due to their late tuber formation. Planting these seeds is akin to the process of sowing tomatoes from seeds. Begin the growth indoors, then transplant to their permanent growing location.
🌱 Sowing Method: Plant the potato seeds six to eight weeks before the last frost or the scheduled planting date. Press the seeds into the surface of the potting soil, covering them with approximately 3mm of soil. Water thoroughly once with room temperature water until the soil becomes moist, and refrain from further watering. Maintain a temperature of approximately 16-20 degrees Celsius or alternate between 20 degrees during the day and 16 degrees at night.
🌱 Under optimal conditions, the first batch of seedlings is expected to emerge in 7 to 10 days. Expose the seedlings to strong light for 14 to 16 hours daily, considering the use of LED supplemental lighting to increase temperature. Some seeds may sprout within 4 weeks, while others may take longer.

- Soak seeds for 24 hours
- Temperature variation: Alternate between 12 hours at 18 degrees and 12 hours at 13 degrees
