- Dimorphotheca sinuata, an annual or biennial herb belonging to the genus Dimorphotheca in the family Asteraceae, grows to a height of 30–35 cm. Leaves are oblong to lanceolate with wavy teeth along the margins; upper stem leaves are smaller and sessile. The flower heads are terminal; ray florets are orange‑yellow, lemon‑yellow, or creamy‑white, often tinged with purple at the base; disc florets are yellow. Flowering occurs from April to June. It prefers full sunlight, a warm and dry environment; it has poor cold tolerance and is intolerant of high heat. It thrives in loose, porous and well‑drained soil and is commonly used for flower bed decoration, rock garden embellishment, potted ornamental planting and courtyard landscaping.
