Varietal Characteristics:
- An early-maturing sponge gourd variety. The plant is vining with palmate leaves. Fruits are mainly set on the main vine; female flowers appear at the 14th node of the main vine, with continuous flowering after one alternate node. The fruit is long and cylindrical, with smooth, straight and glossy green skin. It is 45–55 cm long and about 5 cm in diameter; the flesh is thick with a small central cavity, tender and sweet in texture, and usually retains the flower at the tip. This variety is cold-tolerant, heat-tolerant and transport-resistant, with strong disease resistance, suitable for both greenhouse and open-field cultivation.
