Varietal Characteristics:
- Lycoris hubeiensis (common name: Hubei Lycoris) is a perennial herb of the genus Lycoris in the Amaryllidaceae family. It bears umbels with bright crimson petals and long, pure white filaments. It grows well in sunny and humid conditions, yet can withstand partial shade and drought, with mild cold resistance. Thanks to its robust adaptability and vivid blooms, it can be arranged in flower beds, flower borders and lawns; it may also be planted as ground cover under open woodlands or used as cut flowers.
Note: All parts of Lycoris plants are toxic as they contain neurotoxic alkaloids and must not be ingested.
