- Yellow-flowered salsify is a biennial herb. It grows 40–60 cm tall, with an optimal growth temperature of 20–25℃, and is not cold-tolerant. Germination takes 7–15 days. The seeds are relatively long and thin and difficult to emerge, so pregermination treatment is recommended before sowing. Its dandelion-like seed heads can reach 10–15 cm in diameter, and its fleshy taproot resembles a carrot. It takes about 150 days from sowing to flowering, with the flowering period mainly from April to September.
