Main Characteristics of the Variety:
- The Four-Season Scallions (a type of division onion, Allium fistulosum) are an annual or perennial herbaceous plant, prized for their continuous harvest. The plant reaches a height of 20-40 cm, featuring dark green, cylindrical, and hollow leaves with exceptional tillering ability. It grows rapidly, can be harvested repeatedly, and thrives in cool climates while being intolerant of high heat and humidity. The optimal growing temperature is between 15-22°C, in fertile, sandy soil. Propagation is mainly through bulb division, with spring planting from early April to late June and autumn planting from early August to late December. When dividing, each clump should retain 7-8 plants. Capable of three growth cycles per year, it achieves a single-season yield of up to 1,500 kg per mu, making it a highly efficient and adaptable crop.
