Variety Key Traits:
'Fat Frog' is an original creation by Dr. Pauline Pease, and we are devoted fans of her breeding work. This variety matures to a unique green hue with warm ochre undertones. Its flavor is described as sweet like Thompson grapes with an extra burst of complexity, paired with a juicy, luscious texture.
Take care not to overwater during growth, as this can dilute its flavor. We absolutely adore this tomato, and as far as we know, it's the only GWR (Green When Ripe) micro variety. Exceptionally sweet and slightly larger than a typical cherry tomato, we like to call it 'garden candy'. It's perfect for patio or balcony gardens.
We recommend planting it in a 1-gallon pot, though a 5-gallon pot will accommodate its growth for a larger yield. This variety is ideal for salads, fresh snacking, pizzas, or salsas. Incredibly productive, it performed exceptionally well during two heat waves we experienced, showing remarkable tolerance to high temperatures.
If you're a fan of miniature dwarf tomatoes, we highly recommend giving this one a try!
