- 975 Temptation Beefsteak is a developing indeterminate selection producing exceptionally large, visually striking slicing tomatoes. Fruits typically weigh approximately 12.3–21.2 oz, with even larger specimens possible under favorable growing conditions. The broad, flattened beefsteaks may occasionally develop a gently heart-shaped profile and mature in glowing shades of golden yellow to deep orange, accented by red-orange radial striping and a distinctive metallic sheen.
- Inside, the large fruits reveal richly colored orange-gold flesh with abundant juice and a tender, substantial texture. Their sweet, concentrated tomato flavor and pronounced fruity aroma make them excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tasting platters, and colorful tomato displays. Vigorous indeterminate vines have demonstrated heavy fruit production, but strong staking or trellising is essential to support the exceptionally large fruits.
