Variety characteristics:

• 964 Pineapple Strawberry Tomato is an indeterminate tomato line from a cross involving Sgt. Pepper's, Pineapple Heart, and Schlaumbach Strawberry. In greenhouse conditions, plants can reach about 6 ft, or 1.8 m, and produce beautiful strawberry-like heart-shaped fruits. Tomatoes ripen to a rich golden-yellow color with a pink blush at the tip, and anthocyanin coloring may appear under strong light. Fruits weigh about 9-14 oz, or 250-400 g, with dense bi-color flesh and small seed cavities that are sometimes nearly absent. The fruits can hold well on the plant for an extended period, and the flavor is very sweet with a tropical fruit character, making this variety excellent for fresh slicing, salads, tasting plates, and rare tomato collections.
