Variety characteristics:
- 963 Sultan Pink Shoes Tomato is a mid-early tomato variety with tall plants reaching about 5.5-6 ft, or 1.7-1.8 m. This unusual selection produces thick, elongated pink plum-shaped fruits with a graceful curved beak, giving them a playful "pink shoe" or tulip-like appearance. Fruits average about 5 oz, or 150 g, with dense, oily-textured flesh, few seeds, and excellent eating quality. The flavor is sweet with a light tangy note, rich, juicy, and very delicious for fresh eating, slicing, sauces, and specialty tomato collections. The line shows good stability, though some variation may still appear, making it an exciting choice for growers who enjoy rare and distinctive tomato varieties.
