Variety characteristics:

• 877 Blue Pineapple Blush Tomato is a rare midseason indeterminate tomato reaching about 6.2 ft tall. This variety is connected to the Blue Pineapple lineage and was recently found in the garden of Belgian grower José Antoine under the name Ambiorix. It differs from Blue Pineapple by showing more or less regular lengthwise striping on the fruits. Fruits weigh about 3.5-7.1 oz and ripen with a complex blend of orange, yellow, and red tones overlaid with blue to indigo anthocyanin shoulders, especially on sun-exposed areas. The flesh is orange-yellow with variable crimson-red blush or marbling. Very flavorful and visually striking, this variety is excellent for fresh eating, slicing, salads, and specialty tomato collections.
