85 Ochre Pear F6 is a developing indeterminate tomato selection producing distinctive broad pear-shaped fruits averaging approximately 5.3 oz. Plants grow to about 4.9 feet tall and benefit from sturdy staking or trellising. The fruits ripen from green to warm shades of golden yellow, mustard, and ochre, often retaining olive or brown-green shading around the shoulders. Their dense, buttery flesh has a rich, honey-sweet flavor with little perceived acidity and a fresh, fruity aroma. Fruit shape may range from smooth teardrops to pleated or irregular pears. Because this is an F6 selection, color, shape, size, plant habit, and flavor may still vary among individual plants. Excellent for fresh slicing, salads, sandwiches, and colorful tomato platters.
