8 Dean's Chickie Cherry is an unusual early indeterminate multiflora tomato developed by American breeder Dean Slater. Vigorous plants in this seed line reach approximately 4.9 feet and produce impressive clusters of bright yellow, golden, and orange-yellow cherry to small cocktail fruits. Fruit shape is delightfully variable, ranging from round and pear-shaped tomatoes to deeply ribbed, multi-lobed, and occasionally fused forms that resemble miniature beefsteaks. The exceptionally thin, nearly translucent skin surrounds tender, intensely juicy flesh with pronounced sweetness and a rich, full tomato flavor. Because the delicate fruits are best enjoyed soon after harvest, pick them gently when fully colored. Provide sturdy staking or trellising to support the vigorous vines and heavy multiflora clusters. Excellent for fresh snacking, salads, lunch boxes, garnishes, tomato platters, and colorful garden displays.
