Variety characteristics:

• 794 Pink Tulip is a distinctive indeterminate tomato prized for its deeply ribbed, elongated fruits shaped like closed tulip buds. The pink to pearlescent rose fruits range from slender plum and pepper forms to elongated hearts, typically weighing approximately 5.3–10.6 oz. Their thick, tender flesh has a smooth, almost buttery texture, with very little gel and exceptionally few seeds; some fruits may contain only a handful of seeds or occasionally none at all. Under attentive growing conditions, the flavor develops a pleasing balance with noticeable sweetness, while stressed or underfed plants may produce milder fruit. Plants generally reach approximately 4.9 feet but can vary in vigor and perform best with full sun, generous spacing, consistent moisture, and balanced fertility. Grower reports indicate a favorable response to appropriate potassium feeding, particularly during flowering and fruit development. This relatively late variety benefits from greenhouse or high-tunnel culture in short-season regions. Provide secure staking or trellising and train to one to three main stems. Excellent for fresh slicing, salads, stuffing, canning, freezing, roasting, sauces, and sun-drying.
