• 774 Black Mamba Tomato is a potato-leaf beefsteak variety that originated from an accidental cross between Lucky Cross and an unknown variety in Millard Murdock's garden in North Carolina. The vigorous plants develop well and produce variable beefsteak-type fruits weighing about 7-14 oz. Fruits may be round to slightly flattened, with smooth shoulders or fuller, strongly ribbed shoulders. The exterior matures to a deep red color, sometimes with green shoulders, while the interior is dense, meaty, and rich with very few seeds. Its excellent full-bodied flavor and superb eating quality make it a highly recommended choice for serious tomato growers.
