• 754 Uncle Steve's Oxheart Tomato is an Italian heirloom variety preserved by the family of Steve Picone, an Italian immigrant in Massachusetts who developed and maintained the line for many years after 1930. Originally known simply as 'Oxheart,' this treasured family variety produces red heart-shaped fruits with pale yellow shoulders, typically weighing about 7-17.6 oz. The fruits taper gradually to a blunt point and have very dense, meaty flesh with very few seeds. Its excellent flavor and outstanding eating quality make it ideal for fresh eating, slicing, and rich homemade sauces.
