740 Moldovan Gold Tomato is a new indeterminate tomato selection from Moldova, first shown in 2021 and advanced through several seasons of selection. Plants are vigorous and can reach about 6.6 ft tall in greenhouse conditions. The fruit is round to slightly flattened, weighing about 5.3 to 8.8 oz, with a golden-yellow skin often marked by pink blush. The flesh is golden yellow and may show pink streaks, with a tender, juicy texture and a pleasant sweet flavor with a light fruity finish. It performs well in both greenhouse and open-field growing. Because this is a new selection, some variation or segregation may still occur.
