72 Rose Beauty is a Kentucky family heirloom preserved by the Rose family since the late 1920s or early 1930s. Vigorous regular-leaf indeterminate vines produce large, rounded to slightly flattened beefsteak fruits weighing approximately 7.1–14.1 oz, with larger specimens possible under favorable conditions. The beautiful fruits mature to pale yellow, creamy yellow, or ivory yellow and may develop a delicate pink, peach, or rose-colored blush around the blossom end. The blush varies naturally, and some fully ripe fruits remain entirely cream yellow. Their tender, juicy flesh offers a smooth texture and a pleasantly sweet, mild flavor with enough tomato character to remain satisfying. Productive plants have shown an ability to continue setting fruit during hot summer conditions. Provide sturdy staking, caging, or trellising for the vigorous vines and large fruit. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tomato platters, sauces, and preserving.
