Variety characteristics:

• 631 Orange Orangutan is a rare, tall-growing bicolor tomato commonly circulated through Russian and Eastern European seed collections. Vigorous indeterminate vines produce round to slightly flattened beefsteak fruits weighing approximately 10.6 oz to 1.5 lb. The exterior ripens to brilliant golden orange with attractive rosy-pink blushes, while the interior displays marbled orange and pink flesh. Its juicy, tender texture and excellent sweet, fruity flavor make it ideal for slicing, sandwiches, salads, and fresh eating. This productive midseason variety requires sturdy staking or trellising to support its vigorous growth and large fruits.
