Variety characteristics:

• 629 Dwarf Leprechaun Sasha F4 is an experimental dwarf tomato selection developed by Tatjana Nagle from a cross between Rebel Starfighter VT-16 Brown and Dwarf DSA. Compact plants grow approximately 31 in tall yet produce exceptionally heavy yields of medium-sized fruits weighing about 2.8 to 7.1 oz. The tomatoes mature to dusky burgundy, brick-red, and orange-brown tones with dramatic purple-black anthocyanin shoulders. Their juicy, richly colored flesh has a delicious, predominantly sweet flavor with very little perceived acidity. The plants observed by the breeder showed uniform growth and good overall vigor; however, as an F4 selection, the variety is not fully stabilized and some offspring may differ in fruit color, shape, size, or plant habit. Recommended for experienced growers, collectors, and gardeners interested in participating in variety stabilization.
