60 Marmande Blue is a striking midseason indeterminate tomato developed from the classic French Marmande and an anthocyanin-rich parent. The tall, vigorous vines produce round to slightly flattened beefsteak fruits weighing approximately 5.3–10.6 oz, with larger specimens possible under favorable growing conditions. Fruits ripen to red, raspberry-red, or warm reddish brown while sun-exposed shoulders develop dramatic blue-purple to nearly black anthocyanin coloring. Some fruits also display attractive dark rays, subtle gold speckling, and traditional Marmande-style ribbing. The dense, juicy flesh delivers rich sweetness, an aromatic old-fashioned tomato character, and a balanced, full-bodied finish. Plants can reach 6 feet or taller and require sturdy staking, caging, or trellising. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tomato platters, sauces, and collector gardens.
