Sun-exposed surfaces develop an exceptionally deep violet-blue to nearly black color, while shaded areas and the lower portion ripen to dark pink, burgundy red, or mahogany. Inside, the juicy flesh remains crimson-red to deep pink, often surrounding greenish seed gel. The flavor is rich and savory, with classic tomato depth, pleasant acidity, mild sweetness, and subtle fruity notes.
