Variety characteristics:

• 564 Clare Valley Red is a compact, sturdy variety developed through the Dwarf Tomato Project. Its thick-stemmed dwarf plants feature broad, dark green, rugose regular-leaf foliage and generally reach approximately 3 feet tall. The plants produce generous crops of uniform, globe-shaped red tomatoes weighing approximately 3 to 6 oz. Juicy red flesh delivers a mild, classic tomato flavor with gentle sweetness and only a slight tang. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, salsa, cooking, and canning. Australian trials indicated early- to midseason maturity, while trials in Oregon required approximately 90 days for most fruits to ripen. Its manageable size makes it especially useful for patios, raised beds, small gardens, and large containers.
