Variety characteristics:

• 562 Tricolor is a rare and exceptionally attractive midseason beefsteak tomato circulated as an American variety. Vigorous indeterminate plants grow approximately 6 feet tall and produce generous crops of large, round to oblate fruits. Exceptional tomatoes may reach approximately 28.2 oz under favorable conditions. The fruits begin with a golden-yellow to warm orange base and develop increasingly vivid raspberry-red blushes, streaks, and flame-like markings as they mature. Inside, the juicy, meaty yellow-orange flesh is beautifully marbled with coral red and raspberry pink, frequently forming a bright red center. The flavor is exceptionally sweet, rich, and aromatic, with pronounced fruitiness and a pleasant honey-like finish. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tomato platters, juice, roasting, and colorful golden-red sauces. Heavy fruits require sturdy staking or trellising.
