Variety characteristics:

• 549 Nut Plum F4 is an emerging collector tomato selected from the cross Abakan Triangle × Uluru Ochre. The plants are described as vigorous, indeterminate vines with regular foliage and very heavy fruit trusses. Fruits are elongated and sharply pointed, resembling the distinctive shape of Abakan Triangle, while ripening to a warm ochre-orange color inherited from the Uluru Ochre side of the cross. Fruits commonly weigh approximately 3.5 to 5.3 oz and have juicy, medium-dense flesh with a classic tomato flavor. The line is reported to be relatively stable by the F4 generation, although some variation and occasional cracking may still occur. Strong trellising and regular pruning are recommended for the tall vines and heavily loaded trusses.
