54 Jarson 18/4 is a modern Polish collector tomato selected from the Jarson 18 breeding line, which originated from a cross between Copia and Malakhitovaya Shkatulka. Vigorous indeterminate plants typically reach approximately 4.9–5.9 feet and produce impressive yields of large beefsteak fruits weighing approximately 5.3–14.1 oz. The rounded to slightly flattened tomatoes develop gently to moderately ribbed shoulders and ripen to brick red, mahogany, chocolate red, or deep reddish brown, sometimes retaining olive-green shading around the stem end. Inside, the substantial dark red-brown flesh is dense, meaty, and exceptionally juicy. Its complex flavor combines rich sweetness with savory depth, gentle spice, and a full-bodied tomato finish. Provide sturdy staking, caging, or trellising for the vigorous vines and heavy crop. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, tomato platters, sauces, and collector gardens.
