• 448 Fairy's Gift is an early Russian tomato producing smooth, gently ribbed, heart-shaped fruits weighing approximately 3.2 to 4.1 oz, with occasional early fruits growing larger. The tomatoes mature to a brilliant golden orange and contain dense, juicy orange flesh with elevated carotene content. Their sweet, aromatic flavor is complemented by a mild tomato tang and a tender, meaty texture. Compact determinate plants grow approximately 24 to 31 inches tall and provide an early, concentrated harvest in garden beds, film-covered structures, raised beds, and patio containers. This dependable short-season variety performs especially well in cool-summer regions, although it is not frost tolerant. Excellent for fresh salads, snacking, juice, golden sauces, pickling, and whole-fruit canning.
