Sofia's Golden Pear is an experimental tomato selection producing attractive golden-yellow to orange-gold fruits weighing approximately 2.5–5.3 oz. The smooth tomatoes range from elongated ovals to broad pear shapes and may finish with a small pointed blossom end. Their glossy skin can display faint yellow or greenish streaks over the warm golden background. Tall vines grow approximately 5.9 feet and require reliable staking or trellising throughout the season. The substantial fruits are well suited to fresh slicing, salads, roasting, sauces, and colorful tomato platters.
