Variety characteristics:

• 379 Night Saransk Starry F5 is an experimental Russian tomato selection producing round fruits weighing approximately 1.2–1.9 oz. Immature fruits display green skin beneath an intense blue-black anthocyanin overlay, with contrasting green streaks and speckles. As they ripen, the exposed shoulders become dark violet to nearly black, the lower fruit develops warm brown and mahogany tones, and the markings turn gold. Inside, the tender, juicy flesh matures to a distinctive chocolate-brown color with sweet, aromatic tomato flavor and a fruity finish. Compact bush-type plants grow approximately 3.3 feet tall and commonly carry eight to ten fruits per cluster. This F5 selection is not fully stable, so fruit color, markings, size, plant habit, and anthocyanin coverage may vary.
