374 Faelan's First Snow is a distinctive midseason indeterminate tomato prized for its ornamental variegated foliage and richly colored purple beefsteak fruits. Developed from a variegated selection of Cherokee Purple and stabilized by Mississippi breeder Blane Horton, it produces slightly flattened, lightly ribbed tomatoes weighing approximately 5.3–10.6 oz. The fruits mature to dusky purple, mahogany, or deep pinkish brown while often retaining attractive olive-green shoulders. Their juicy, tender flesh offers a rich, sweet, full-bodied tomato flavor well suited to fresh slicing. Green-and-white variegation gives young plants exceptional ornamental appeal, although the amount of white coloring may vary and can become less pronounced as plants mature. Provide sturdy staking or trellising for the vigorous vines and developing beefsteak fruits. Excellent for sandwiches, salads, tomato toast, burgers, fresh platters, sauces, and seed collectors seeking unusual foliage varieties.
