Variety characteristics:

• 37 Grandmother's Greatness is a beautiful Latvian-bred tomato selected by Valdis Pulins from a cross between Your Majesty and Grandma Viney's Yellow and Pink. The midseason, tall-growing plants produce elegant heart-shaped to broad-heart fruits typically weighing approximately 7.1–12.3 oz, with exceptional fruits reaching approximately 17.6 oz under favorable growing conditions. As they ripen, the tomatoes develop a glowing golden-yellow to orange exterior accented by delicate pink and red blushes, especially around the blossom end and sun-exposed portions of the fruit. The thick, tender flesh is exceptionally meaty and juicy, with relatively few seeds and attractive yellow, orange, and rosy-red bicolor marbling. Its flavor is honey-sweet, mild, and fruity, with very little perceived acidity and a soft, delicate finish. Plants generally reach approximately 5.2–5.9 feet and may be trained to one or two main stems. Provide strong staking, caging, or trellising to support the heavy heart-shaped fruit. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, colorful tomato platters, juice, mild salsa, and golden tomato sauces.
