Variety characteristics:

• 338 Minusinsk Red Cherry is an exceptionally productive early-season Russian heirloom producing round, deep red cherry tomatoes averaging approximately 1.1 oz. Lower clusters commonly carry up to nine fruits, while the upper portions of the plant develop spectacular branched trusses holding 20 to 30 tomatoes that ripen in concentrated waves. The smooth, uniform fruits surround dense, meaty yet juicy flesh with abundant sweetness, rich old-fashioned tomato flavor, and an aromatic finish rarely found in ordinary red cherries. Their firm texture and good resistance to cracking allow the ripe fruits to remain attractive on the vine while large portions of each cluster develop full color. Vigorous indeterminate plants exceed 6.5 feet, develop regular foliage, and continue setting heavily even during cool or variable summers. Train the vines to two or more main stems and provide a tall, heavy-duty trellis capable of supporting the enormous fruit clusters. Excellent for garden snacking, salads, lunch boxes, skewers, roasting, drying, fresh salsa, whole-fruit preserves, pickling, and colorful cluster displays.
