Variety characteristics:

• 336 Great White Purple is a striking mid-early anthocyanin tomato producing round to flattened fruits weighing approximately 3.5 to 7.8 oz in this seed line, with occasional broad heart-shaped forms adding variety to the harvest. The tomatoes ripen from green-violet to ivory white, creamy yellow, and pale gold, while sun-exposed shoulders and sides develop dramatic indigo-purple, burgundy, and nearly black pigmentation. Dark brush-like streaks often extend downward across the light skin, giving every fruit its own distinctive pattern. Inside, the firm, dense and meaty flesh remains pale cream to soft yellow, delivering gentle sweetness, a smooth texture, and very low perceived acidity. Productive indeterminate plants develop regular foliage, commonly reach 5 to 7 feet or taller, and continue setting attractive clusters over an extended season. Provide a tall, sturdy cage or trellis and retain enough foliage to protect the pale fruits from excessive sun exposure. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, caprese, pale salsa, colorful tomato platters, roasting, chilled soups, and mild golden sauces.
