289 Ivanovsky Green is a productive mid-to-early-season green-when-ripe tomato producing substantial fruits typically weighing approximately 5.3–8.8 oz, with larger tomatoes reaching 14.1 oz. The round to oblate, smooth to lightly ribbed beefsteaks mature from deep green to luminous amber green, often developing yellow-green shading and darker green striping across the shoulders. Inside, the full, juicy flesh offers a refined, rich flavor with sweet tropical-fruit notes and balanced tomato character. Vigorous indeterminate plants develop regular foliage and may reach approximately 4–8 feet depending on climate and growing conditions. Train plants to one or two main stems and provide sturdy staking or trellising throughout the season. Excellent for fresh slicing, sandwiches, salads, sauces, salsa, and colorful tomato platters.
